Opening is an important process but what is the "right" way to do it? There are many different ways pool owners go about it and everyone has their own methods. Below we've listed the steps we've found to bring about the most successful pool season. Let us make your opening easy and your swim season stress-free.

Winter Cover Removal

Cover is removed, rinsed, folded, and stored.

Anchors, lawn stakes, cables, and winches are removed and stored.

Winter Pillow Removal

Ice equalizer pillow is deflated, rinsed, folded, and stored.

Plug Removal & Ladder Setup

Winter plugs are removed and the pool return (eyeball, jet, outflow) is installed.

Pool ladder is placed in the water and mounted to the deck/pool surface

Equipment Installation

Filter, pump, heater, and chlorinator/salt system (where applicable) are set-up and started.

O-rings and gaskets and checked and lubricated.

Sanitizer Treatment

To deter algae and bacteria production the water is treated with chlorine and algaecide.

This treatment helps clear the water and make the pool ready for swimming.

Water Chemistry Balancing

Alkalinity, PH, calcium, and stabilizer are adjusted accordingly with supplied chemicals.
